What your offer must show

The Truth in Lending Act requires these figures in writing before you sign:

  • Annual percentage rate, the yearly cost including most fees.
  • Finance charge, the total dollar cost.
  • Amount financed, the credit you actually receive.
  • Total of payments, everything you'll repay on schedule.

Your information along the way

  • Encrypted when you send it.
  • Shared with purpose, only with lenders and providers that may serve you.
  • Never paid for by you. We'll never ask for fees or gift cards.
  • Your choice: opt out of sale or sharing anytime from our footer.

If you're not matched

  • No network lender serves your state right now.
  • Income or bank history doesn't meet minimums yet.
  • The amount requested is more than your income supports.
  • Details didn't match, such as name, address or bank numbers.

Try a smaller amount, ask your biller for a payment plan, or check a credit union payday alternative loan. See lower-cost options.

Common questions

Do I have to accept an offer?

No. Requesting is free and you can decline any offer at no cost. Nothing is final until you e-sign an agreement with a lender.

Why am I sent to another website?

The lender makes the loan, so you review and sign on the lender's secure site, where you'll see the APR, payment schedule and total cost.

What if no lender can help?

It happens if no lender serves your state or amount, or your income doesn't meet their criteria. Try a smaller amount later or check options like credit union PALs.

Will the lender check my credit?

They may. A soft inquiry doesn't affect your score; a hard inquiry can lower it slightly for a limited time.
